Complete revamp

Monday, July 23rd, 2007

The entire Vandaele.us website has been redesigned. All areas now come with proper information, the homepage lists the privacy policy, the layout was redone using the YouHaveChosen.Us neutral layout as a template, Track0 page has additional information as well as screenshots (including a screenshot of the invisible mode… :D ) and the Track0 counter (tracking the page, not the one for download) has been nicely integrated into the footer. I can’t wait to do something similar for GameSphere.com, but first that needs the old pages to conform with the new system (wouldn’t be pretty with half a pretty gray site and half a not-so-pretty blue site). Anyway, I like the new Vandaele.us

Vandaele.us gone live!

While I’ve owned the domain for a while now, its only use so far has been as my private mail domain. There’s something rather cool about having your own name as your email address. As for the website, until today it was simply a redirect, but no longer. While it may only be a skeleton page - and certainly looks rather spartan - it is in effect it’s own website, sporting some short information and my longtime project Track0. Track0 is a fast, reliable, and customizable tracker/counter for your website using PHP4 and MySQL that’s had a long development cycle. The first version went through a rigorous testing cycle (which is fancy speak for “I used it for years on end doing nothing to it”), while the second version barely lived a few short weeks. While the first version was only ever shared with a single person, and the second version had only myself as an owner, the third version will be the first to be publicly shared. After all, the third version sports log password security, as well as well-managed log summaries, in addition to sectionized tracking and reporting. It also sports some seperate - but rudamentary - robot tracking.
