Zug zug (Work Work)

Feel a bit like a worker orc after today. Anyhow, here’s a little list of what’s been acomplished:

  • First, previous, next, last links have been coded (… but not tested so there’s an 80% chance there’s something wrong with ‘em).
  • The layout has been poured into the code, formed around it. Basically I merged my static HTML layout into my php code, so from now on all my testing will be done in a pretty layout.
  • Semi-decided on the 3 cylinder menu.
  • Made the flash logo’s background transparent.
  • Added a little Published/Added box for the current comic.
  • Gave all navigation (menu, comic top/bottom) the same font faceĀ (and coincidentally, font size).
  • Minor layout tweaking.
  • Finished comic #4 last night.

Quite a bit of (php) coding for such seemingly little effect, but I suppose that’s the way it is. I’ll get to test it soon enough when I turn my comic navigation images into linked imagemaps. Also, while I didn’t test any first, previous, next or last links, I did test the calling by URL - even thought to make it secure - so you could use website.com/comic.php?id=X. This type of URL will be used on the first, last, … buttons as well as other functions (such as the planned “remember where I was” functionality). One small step for man…

Well, that’s it for now. Hopefully I’ll have something workable soon so I can start putting the website into production and start building traffic. Oh, and here’s a static ’shot’ of my 1 page coded website.
